How donating works
You donate on the Jefferson Education Foundation’s own page. This site never sees your card or your money. It just shows you where to go and what to type.
Step by step
On the group’s page here, tap Copy next to the group name.
Tap Donate Now. The foundation’s page on the school district website opens in a new tab.
Scroll down and tap the red DONATE NOW! link.
The payment page offers to create an account. You don’t need one. Just tap Pay Now.
Paste the group name into the “Donation Group or Classroom” box. This is how your gift reaches the right group, so paste it exactly.
Enter your amount and card details and finish. You’ll get a receipt by email.

Tax benefits
The Jefferson Education Foundation is a nonprofit, and your receipt shows your gift for tax purposes.
- Idaho Education Tax Credit: a state tax credit for half of your gift, up to $1,000 on a joint return or $500 on a single return.
- Federal and state deduction: if you itemize deductions, your gift may also be deductible. If you take the standard deduction, this part doesn’t apply.

- Where does the money go?
- To the Jefferson Education Foundation, which passes it to the group you named. The group receives the full amount.
- Can I donate any time?
- Yes. Every group’s page is open all year. Some groups also run campaigns for a trip or a big purchase.
- What if I type the group name wrong?
- That’s why there’s a Copy button. Pasting avoids typos that could send your gift to the wrong place.
